ABSTRACT

According to startupranking statistics, there were 2,217 startups in Indonesia as of 2020, with that number expected to rise by 78.19% by 2023. Internet user penetration in Indonesia was 64.8%. As of June 14, 2023, Indonesia had 2,482 startups, ranking it sixth globally. Indonesia has tremendous room for intelligent economic growth. However, a greater pool of digital talent is necessary to realize this promise. This research focuses on creating an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Startup Matchmaking platform utilizing Artificial Intelligence Education Excellence (AIMEE). The goal is to facilitate cooperation in the creative business by connecting people and entities in the industry based on project needs and compatibility. The development of the AIMEE system was completed using the Agile Scrum methodology and Indicator Measurement Factor Analysis (IMF). The application is developed using the Expo framework, React Native for the front end, and Node.js for the back end, with Firebase hosting for database storage. AIMEE incorporates AI machine learning, specifically the random forest and recommendation systems. Through these algorithms, data is analyzed to identify the preferences and traits of startups, as well as those of three additional stakeholders: business-to-business (B2B) networks, angel investors, and digital talent. By helping entrepreneurs identify the best partners, the AI-based Startup Matchmaking Platform expands their options for cooperation, financing, and company expansion. As a result, AIMEE might mark a significant development in Indonesia's effort to create a stronger and more effective startup environment.
