ABSTRACT

iLearning Journal Center is a scientific publication system used for processing and publishing journals using electronic facilities, as well as computer application facilities. In the application of the journal management system applied in STT Yuppentek and STISIP Yuppentek is still conventional (printed) and has several problems such as complicated and fragmented procedures that hinder the process of managing the journals for both the Author, the Editor and the Management of the journal. The process of sending, editing, reviewing, and publishing scientific manuscripts is carried out electronically in an application system called electronic periodical e-journal (e-journal) in addition to the indexing process can take place more quickly. The Open Journal System (OJS) is a freely available open source software for worldwide journals purpose to assist every stage of the publishing process, from submission to online publication and indexing. The Open Journal System (OJS) also assists users in arranging a journal, including keeping track of editors, reviewers, and writers. This research was built with PIECES analysis method and system design using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The workmanship mechanism of this study was closed by testing blackbox testing. This process is carried out periodically in accordance with the planning period. The results of the system that researchers do is the design and application of scientific publication management. Utilization of management applications as the process of managing and publishing journal data, and journals that have been published it will be automatically indexed into search engines like Google Scholar, Open AIRE, Copernicus, Mendeley and other search engines. So that the e-journal management process in iLearning Journal Center (iJC) for STT Yuppentek and STISIP Yuppentek becomes easier and organized to achieve work efficiency, save paper material expenditure and increase publication to global.

ABSTRAK

iLearning Journal Center merupakan sistem publikasi ilmiah yang digunakan untuk proses pengolahan dan penerbitan jurnal dengan memanfaatkan fasilitas elektronik, maupun fasilitas aplikasi komputer. Pada penerapannya sistem pengelolaan jurnal yang diterapkan di STT Yuppentek dan STISIP Yuppentek masih bersifat konvensional (tercetak) dan memiliki beberapa permasalahan seperti prosedur rumit dan terpisah-pisah yang menghambat proses pengelolaan jurnal baik bagi Penulis, Redaksi, maupun Pengelolaan jurnal. Proses pengiriman, penyuntingan, penelaahan, dan penerbitan naskah karya ilmiah dilaksanakan secara elektronik dalam suatu sistem aplikasi yang dinamakan terbitan berkala ilmiah elektronik (e-journal) selain itu proses pengindeksan dapat berlangsung dengan lebih cepat seperti indeksasi. Open Journal System (OJS) merupakan perangkat lunak open source yang tersedia secara bebas untuk jurnal di seluruh dunia tujuan untuk membantu setiap tahap proses penerbitan , dari pengajuan sampai publikasi online dan pengindeksan. Open Journal System (OJS) juga membantu pengaturan aspek pengguna dalam menyusun sebuah jurnal, termasuk menyimpan track hasil kerja editor, reviewer, dan penulis. Penelitian ini dibangun dengan metode analisis PIECES dan perancangan sistem menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML). Mekanisme pengerjaan penelitian ini ditutup dengan pengujian blackbox testing. Proses ini dilakukan secara berkala sesuai dengan jangka waktu perencanaan. Adapun hasil dari sistem yang peneliti lakukan adalah perancangan dan aplikasi manajemen publikasi ilmiah. Pemanfaatan aplikasi manajemen sebagai proses pengelolaan dan penerbitan data jurnal, dan jurnal yang telah diterbitkan maka akan secara otomatis terindeks ke dalam mesin pencarian seperti Google Scholar, Open AIRE, Copernicus, Mendeley dan mesin pencarian lainnya. Sehingga proses pengelolaan e-journal di iLearning Journal Center (iJC) untuk STT Yuppentek dan STISIP Yuppentek menjadi lebih mudah dan terorganisir untuk mencapai efisiensi dalam pekerjaan, menghemat pengeluaran bahan kertas dan meningkatkan publikasi menjadi global.
