ABSTRAKSI
Gudang adalah suatu tempat/bangunan untuk penyimpanan barang yang memiliki peranan penting dalam suatu sistem produksi di perusahaan, di perlukan adanya sistem informasi manajemen gudang yang dapat meningkatkan performansi dari suatu sistem produksi agar produksi tetap berjalan sesuai yang direncanakan. PT. Furukawa Optical Soloution Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang produksi kabel fiber optic jenis loose tube di Indonesia. Akan tetapi sistem informasi manajemen gudang saat ini untuk mengetahui data stok barang sparepart serta pembuatan laporannya masih menggunakan aplikasi sederhana yaitu Ms. Excel 2007, namun masih belum maksimal. Sehingga dilakukan pengembangan guna menciptakan sistem yang lebih cepat, tepat dan akurat dengan menggunakan aplikasi Perancangan Sistem Informasi Warehouse Management System (WMS) Stock Sparepart dengan menggunakan metodologi penelitian yaitu analisis SWOT dan perancangan yang terstruktur mulai dari sistem yang diusulkan melalui UML (Unified Modeling Language) dan pengujian program yang diusulkan menggunakan Blackbox Testing. Ada pun perancangan aplikasinya menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP (PHP Hypertext Preprocessor) dan pembuatan database pada MySQL. Penerapan program diharapkan dapat mengatasi permasalahan sistem berjalan diantaranya, lebih maksimal dalam proses pengolahan data dan pembuatan laporan.
ABSTRACT
Warehouse is a place / building for storage of goods that have an important role in a production system in the company, need the warehouse management information system to increase the performance of a production system in order to keep production running as planned. PT. Furukawa Optical Solution Indonesia is a company engaged in the production of fiber optic cable loose tube type in Indonesia. However, warehouse management information system at this time to determine the spare parts inventory data and making of the report is still using a simple application that Ms. Excel 2007, but still not optimal. So do the development in order to make the system more quickly and accurately by using the application Information System Design Warehouse Management System (WMS) Stock Sparepart using the methodology of the research is SWOT analysis and design structured starting from the proposed system through UML (Unified Modeling Language) and testing of the proposed program using Blackbox testing. There is also designing applications using the programming language PHP (PHP Hypertext Preprocessor) and MySQL database creation. Implementation of the program expected to overcome the issues such running system, more leverage in the data processing and report generation.
